Calero with the Keenans

We took a short hike at Calero. Mike spotted a giant rattler off the side of the trail. Don't worry we didn't get too close!....

There were voles darting about everywhere! My dad could have really brought up his kill count. This lil guy didn't notice me sneaking up on him....

Into the sunset...

We had to drive all the way to Nevada to pick up Jacob from his dad's house. We had very little money and very little time. It was really painful to drive through such beautiful scenery and not be able to stop every 5 minutes to take a picture. Here's a tiny sliver of Lake Tahoe...

We stayed the night and left the next morning. We were determined to at least go swimming somewhere. I finally found a nice spot to pull onto the shoulder so we could take a dip and the river and wait for traffic to ease up....

Poor Boy Bistro

As a master sandwich craftsman myself I am always looking to expand my sandwich horizons. I've known about the Poor Boy Bistro downtown for awhile, but only recently made the pilgrimage. The Po Boys I have tried so far have been great, but the jambalaya comes no where close to my Mother's own jambalaya.
