Sanborn County Park

Last weekend, we went to Sanborn Park up in the mountains above Saratoga. We took a short nature walk through the redwoods with the dog and the kid.










It's a little known fact that Sanborn County Park actually predates Christopher Columbus' arrival in the New World....

Back in February or so I found a sack of old potatoes in the cupboard. They were already growing roots so I planted them to see what would happened. A few months later I dug up them taters. The sizes ranged from grape to egg.



I wrapped up them spud boys in foil with rosemary, onions, garlic and butter and roasted them on the grill. The results were delicious....

Redwoods Easter

For Easter, we went to Melissa's uncle's house in the redwoods. Unfortunately, we could not go on the main redwood trail loop because of the No Dogs Allowed policy.
